I am willing to bet good money that Bucky taught Steve how to shoot. Sure, Steve knew how to shoot from basics, but I bet Bucky had spent a few slow afternoons between missions showing Steve how to shoot efficiently. How to NEVER hold down the trigger on a semi or fully automatic weapon while trying to take hostiles down. “Damn it, Steve, It’s about precision. PULSE IT. Unless you mean to pin men down, don’t hold down the trigger. It’s horribly inaccurate from the recoil.” I bet Bucky had Steve learn how to assemble guns quickly, how to check for damage, and how to keep his guns in working condition. He taught Steve how to snipe, although Bucky already had a better eye for it than he did.
“Just stick to the shield, punk” Bucky sighed once when Steve couldn’t snipe the target they had set up.
“That’s a mile away, Buck! And it’s moving! No one can make that shot-”
Bam.
“Got ‘em." Bucky hands the rifle back to Steve, standing up to brush off his coat. “I guess you can’t be great at everything, Stevie.”
"Oh, fuck you.”
And the Howling Commandos watching with the biggest grins on their faces because Sarge and Cap bickering was the best form of entertainment they’ve ever seen.
steve would totally use ‘password’ as his passwords for pretty much everything, that’s such a steve thing to do. i mean, the guy kept his apartment key under a brick anyone could’ve kicked over and hid the most important flash drive in a vending machine behind two packs of gum. my god steve.
